These Terms and Conditions govern the Dyson Trade In Service which is provided by Alchemy Telco Solutions Limited, a company incorporated in the Republic of Ireland with CRO No. 595997 and having a place of business at One Burlington Road, First Floor, Connaught House, Dublin D04 C5Y6 , the Republic of Ireland (“Vendor,” “us” ,”our” or “we” ) for and on behalf of Dyson Limited, having a place of business at Tetbury Hill, Malmesbury, Wiltshire, SN16 0RP, United Kingdom, and its subsidiaries (“Dyson”).
By entering into a contract to avail of the Trade In Service with us you (the “Customer”) can obtain a cash payment following the purchase of a qualifying New Dyson Device either from Dyson directly or from a participating authorized Dyson distributor during the Offer Period and trading in an Eligible Trade in Device (as defined below) to the Vendor during the Offer Period (as defined below) subject to the provisions set out in these Terms and Conditions.
1. Eligibility to participate in the Trade in Service and Exceptions.
In order to be eligible to participate in the Trade in Service you must be eligible to purchase the qualifying New Dyson Device. The Trade In Service is not available for resellers of Dyson devices, and for purchases made via Dyson employee codes. It is also not available, for persons acting as a consumer within the meaning of section 2 of the Consumer Rights Act 2022.
2. How to avail of the Trade in Service
In order to avail of the Trade in Service you must satisfy the requirements set out below.

(each a “New Dyson Device “).
2.2 The purchase of the New Dyson Device must have been made between the later of 15 July 2024 and the start date per jurisdiction per program listed below and 31 December 2024 (both inclusive) (the “Offer Period”)

2.3 The registration form referred to in paragraph 2.5 below must be submitted within 14 days from the date of purchase of the New Dyson Device and in no event later than 14 January 2025 (the “Claim Period”). Eligible Trade in Devices must be returned to the Vendor within 14 days from the submission of the registration referred to in paragraph 2.5 and in no event later than 28 January 2025. Any registration form submitted after 14 January 2025 will be rejected and any Eligible Trade in Device received after 28 January 2025 will be rejected.
2.4 The purchase of the New Dyson Device must have been made from one of Dyson’s authorised distributors or wholesalers in the participating jurisdiction (per paragraph 2.2 above) or from Dyson directly.
2.5 Following the purchase you must complete and submit a registration form which is available at https://dyson-alchemyglobalsolutions.zendesk.com/hc . Submission of the registration form must be made within the Claim Period referred to in paragraph 2.2 above and must provide the following details/documentation:
- your name, the name of the Qualifying Business, its postal address, an e-mail address and contact telephone number;
- your bank account details of a bank in a participating jurisdiction (per paragraph 2.2 above) or another country within the European Economic Area to which payments can be made, if applicable;
You are required to upload a copy of the purchase receipt for the New Dyson Device and a photograph of the serial number of the unpacked New Dyson Device and provide details of the Eligible Trade in Device (as defined below) including its serial number if it is a Dyson device. You can only sign up for the Trade In Service once for a given New Dyson Device.
2.6 Submission of the registration form shall be deemed to constitute your acceptance of these Terms and Conditions and the Privacy Information attached hereto. Submission of the registration form shall constitute an offer by you to avail of the Trade In Service, which offer may be accepted or rejected by us in our absolute discretion.
2.7 Upon receipt of a duly completed registration form and associated documentation, you will receive an e mail from us containing a unique ID number and a prepaid freight label which you should use to send your Eligible Trade in Device to us. An Eligible Trade in Device is defined as: (a) for the Haircare Program, any old electrical hair dryer from any brand (if you are trading in an old Dyson product, you must send in one of the following models: HD01, HD02, HD03, HD04, HD07, HD11, HD12 - no other old Dyson models will be accepted); and (b) for the Airblade program, either an old paper/cotton towel dispenser or an electrical hand dryer from any brand (if you are trading in an old Dyson product, you must send in one of the following models: AB01, AB03, AB05, AB06, AB07, AB08, AB12, AB14, HU02, HU03, WD04, WD05, WD06, WD07, WD08 - no other old Dyson models will be accepted).Notwithstanding its brand or model, it must be intact; that is in one piece - not broken in pieces or shattered and must be in an Acceptable Condition as defined in paragraph 3 below as determined by the Vendor. Accessories are not required to be returned to us.
2.8 Thereafter you must send your Eligible Trade in Device to us within 14 calendar days from receipt of the prepaid freight label or by dropping it into an authorised Collection Centre in the participating jurisdiction (per paragraph 2.2 above) within 14 days of your being notified of the location of the Collection Centre. Haircare products may be packaged two to a box, while Airblade products must be packaged individually. If you are returning a large number of Eligible Trade in Devices, you may request to have the designated freight carrier collect your Eligible Trade in Device from your business premises during normal business hours. Such a request must be made within 14 days from the date of receipt of our e-mail communication referred to in paragraph 2.6 above and is subject to the approval of the Vendor.
3. Assessment of an Eligible Trade in Device
3.1 Upon receipt of an Eligible Trade in Device we will undertake an assessment in order to determine if it is in an Acceptable Condition and has satisfied the Vendor’s acceptance criteria (“Acceptance Criteria”). In order to satisfy the requirement of being in an “Acceptable Condition”, the Eligible Trade in Device must, amongst other matters:
- be intact and its engine must be complete;
- if a battery is present the battery must be intact with no physical damage;
- if it is a Dyson device it must be a genuine Dyson product containing a valid serial number;
An Eligible Trade in Device need not be accompanied by its accessories and it does not need to power up or be operational.
Examples of when a device will be regarded has not being in satisfaction of the Vendor’s Acceptance Criteria are set out below:
- The device is missing or an empty box is received;
- the device constitutes a danger health hazard or the Vendor otherwise determines that handling the device constitutes a health and safety risk;
- the device has no discernible engine, if appropriate;
- the device constitutes stolen goods.
Upon our being satisfied that an Eligible Trade in Device satisfies the criteria in paragraph 3.1 above, we will pay you (a) for the Haircare Program, Euro 100 if your Eligible Trade in Device is a Dyson and Euro 75 if your Eligible Trade in Device is from another manufacturer; and (b) for the Airblade Program, Euro 125 for all Eligible Trade in Devices. You will be sent confirmation of the applicable payment amount to the e-mail address set out in the registration form. We will arrange for payment to be made to you not earlier than 30 days and in any case within 45 days after receipt of the valid Eligible Trade in Device. All quotations and payments include VAT as applicable.
3.2 The payment will be made by bank transfer to the bank account details provided by you in the registration form. You are responsible for ensuring that particulars of the bank account set out in the registration form are accurate in every respect and we shall have no liability in the event that incorrect banking details are provided to us.
If the device as traded in does not constitute an Eligible Trade in Device, no payment will be made. We will contact you to let you know, but unfortunately, we will not be able to return your item back to you.
4. Transfer of ownership of an Eligible Trade in Device
Upon our receipt and acceptance of an Eligible Trade in Device, the legal and beneficial ownership in such Eligible Trade in Device shall transfer to the Vendor from the Customer and the Customer shall be deemed to have disclaimed any further right, title, ownership or interest in the Eligible Trade in Device and any property right contained therein.
5. Warranties and Representations by Customer
In submitting a registration form under paragraph 2.4 you shall be deemed to warrant and represent to the Vendor and Dyson as follows:
- you are the sole legal and beneficial owner of the Eligible Trade in Device or have been authorized by the owner of the Eligible Trade in Device to submit the registration form and to perform the role of the Customer as set out in these Terms and Conditions;
- you have the legal capacity to enter and make all decisions concerning the Eligible Trade in Device;
- the Eligible Trade in Device is not subject to any encumbrance, lien, security interest or any third party interest and no other person other than the Customer has a legal or beneficial interest in it;
- the Eligible Trade in Device does not infringe any third party intellectual property rights, including copyright, trademarks, patents, trade secrets or other proprietary rights;
- you are not a reseller of Dyson products and do not intend to become a reseller of Dyson products in the immediate future; and
- the Eligible Trade in Device is not counterfeit or stolen or has been acquired by fraudulent means.
6. Warranties by Vendor
The Vendor hereby warrants to the Customer that it shall perform the services referred to in these Terms and Conditions using reasonable care and skill. The parties hereby agree that no other warranties or representations shall apply to the Vendor’s services referred to in these Terms and Conditions. For the avoidance of any doubt the terms implied by section 39 of the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 are to the fullest extent permitted by law excluded from their application to the Vendor’s services referred to in these Terms and Conditions.
7.0 Limitation of liability
7.1 References to the Vendor’s liability in this clause includes every kind of liability arising under or in connection with the Vendor’s services under these Terms and Conditions including liability in contract, tort (including negligence) misrepresentation restitution or otherwise.
7.2 The maximum liability of the Vendor arising from its services under these Terms and Conditions shall not exceed the trade in price for the Eligible Trade in Device as referred to in paragraph 3.2 above.
7.3 the Vendor hereby excludes any liability for loss of profits, loss of sales or business, loss of agreements or contracts, loss of anticipated savings, loss or damage to goodwill and indirect and consequential loss.
7.4 Nothing in this paragraph 7 limits any liability which cannot be legally limited by applicable law including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence: fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
8. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and shall be construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Ireland. The parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the Republic of Ireland in relation to any dispute arising under these Terms and Conditions, any question of interpretation in relation to these Terms and Conditions or the parties’ liability, howsoever arising.
9. Communications Between Us
You may contact the Vendor’s customer service team by e-mail at dyson@ wearealchemy.com. If we need to contact you or give you notice in writing we will do so by e-mail to the address you have provided to us in the registration form referred to in paragraph 2.4 above.
10. Third Party Rights
The parties agree that the provisions of these Terms and Conditions which confer rights on the Vendor shall ensure to the benefit of Dyson and may be enforced by it accordingly.
11. Data Protection
The Vendor’s use of any personal information and data of the Customer and its Employees and Representatives shall be in accordance with the privacy information policy of Alchemy as set out below.
